HTA Communications & Engagement is the community engagement, consultation and communications team at HTA Design, a UK architecture practice specialising in housing and regeneration for more than 50 years. We combine skilled facilitation with in-house design expertise to deliver engagement that makes a real difference to projects.
Rooted in community architecture HTA Design was a founder of the Community Architecture Movement. Championing the voices of local residents has been central to the practice for more than 50 years.
Part of the design team HTA Communications & Engagement works alongside HTA's architects, landscape architects, planners and interior designers. Community feedback goes directly to the people designing the project, so it shapes the outcome.
Experts in resident ballots We have planned and delivered resident ballot campaigns for estate regeneration. At the Alton Estate in Roehampton, over 1,400 residents voted, with 82% in favour of the plans.
Co-design and statutory consultation We facilitate both creative co-design and formal statutory consultation, including Statements of Community Involvement for planning.
Creative storytelling and visual communication In-house graphic designers create clear, engaging materials, from exhibition boards to digital campaigns, that help everyone understand and respond to proposals.
Recognised for community impact HTA Design has been shortlisted for AJ100 Community Impact awards for:
• The Winstanley Interiors Competition (2024)
• The Live Your Best Life initiative at Kidbrooke Park Road North (2025)
