Alexandra graduated from the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest in 2016, after a year-long exchange at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona.

As a student, she was a vital part of an interdisciplinary team of students that built and optimised a sustainable, modular house in Bucharest, which subsequently became Romania’s First Research Centre for Comfort Conditions.

In 2015 she returned to Barcelona where she worked with Miralles Tagliabue EMBT on various competitions and urban regeneration projects, the most notable being the Clichy-Montfermeil Station, a complex scheme integrating residential and cultural uses that gravitate around a new transport node for the Greater Paris Area. She then went on to follow her passion for residential-led urban regeneration by developing a masters’ thesis focused on mixed-type housing and meanwhile uses on a series of connected sites in Barcelona. The thesis, which had a theoretical focus on terrain vague, was awarded an honourable prize.

Prior to joining HTA in 2020, Alexandra has gained experience working on architectural contests and bespoke residential projects at MFRMGR Architects in Warsaw. During her time at MFRMGR, she has become an essential part of the team, taking projects all the way from concept to construction and liaising with clients, consultants and contractors.

As an individual architectural graduate, Alexandra has participated in various international competitions, where she was awarded a first prize and several honourable mentions.

Since joining HTA, Alexandra has worked on the Joyce and Snell’s estates’ regeneration in Enfield, helping develop block types and further the spatial design of the masterplan while supporting the Project Architect by producing drawings, documents and consultation materials required for planning

Currently Alexandra is an important part of the team preparing the reserved matters planning application for Spencer’s Park, a Homes England MMC site, one of eight nationally. She is involved with all design matters, as well as preparing maters for pre-application meetings and other client needs and liaising with consultants on a regular basis.
