Buwani Kilpatrick
Senior Building Physics & Sustainability Consultant
BA (Hons), MArch, MSc, AMEI

Buwani is a dedicated building physicist and sustainability consultant with over 14 years of experience in the environmental sector, complemented by a background in architecture. Herexpertise lie in evaluating aspects of sustainable design (i.e., energy, daylight, overheating, etc.) and gauging their impacts simultaneously rather than in isolation. Her background in architecture gives her an understanding of design processes and the impact of these on the implementation of energy efficient design strategies. Additionally, her experience in detail design has enabled her to hone thermal bridge analysis skills which is a mandatory aspect of current energy assessments.
At HTA, Buwani provides initial guidance on energy/CO2 emissions, daylight access, overheating, microclimate and thermal bridging risks. She carries out detailed assessments for planning and projects at technical design stage and on-site, collaborating with various design teams within HTA to ensure the best sustainability outcomes.
