Iain’s experience lies in the design development of both small and large scale housing regeneration projects, providing design leadership that upholds design integrity and innovation across scale - from masterplan through to detail - to curate designs which are appropriate, viable, sustainable, and ultimately uplifting for the people that experience them.
Iain joined HTA in March 2021 as an associate in the role of senior architectural designer. He is currently project lead for a large mixed use regeneration project which includes build to rent apartments, student accommodation and a large affordable homes component. Prior to joining HTA Iain has worked on large mixed use regeneration schemes across London, and led the delivery of a portfolio of smaller infill housing schemes in Croydon, London.
Having recently joined HTA, Iain has experience of the residential sector from working in other practices. He is currently leading a major mixed use regeneration project in Ilford for HTA.
Chapel Place, Ilford (HTA). A complex mixed use, public realm led residential regeneration project on a 2 hectare site in central Ilford delivering 1200 new homes together with a new park space as a central element of a new piece of public realm. Iain is leading the HTA team in the development of design proposals, currently in Stage 2. He is responsible for client liaison, coordination of the wider design team, and delivery of a proposal to secure planning approval in the first quarter of 2022.
