Nerea Bermejo Olaizola

Architectural Illustrator

BA DipArch ARB Registered

Nerea is a specialist in architectural illustration and visual storytelling, creating engaging images that bring complex ideas to life. Drawing on her training as an architect and over a decade of experience, she collaborates with architects, councils, designers and communities to visualise places before they are built, communicating design concepts with clarity and warmth.

With a Master’s in Architecture from the Higher Technical School of Architecture in San Sebastián, and professional experience across the UK and Spain, Nerea’s drawings are informed by a deep understanding of place, structure and people. Her illustrations, blending hand-drawn charm with architectural accuracy, are particularly effective in engaging communities and supporting meaningful consultation.

Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy and is permanently displayed through murals, hoardings and interpretation panels in both the UK and Spain. She is also the illustrator of two RIBA-published children’s books, extending her passion for accessible communication to younger audiences.
