Ruth is a Senior Project Architect, based in our Bristol office. She is passionate about delivering sustainable homes both as new build schemes and through sensitive restoration of existing buildings. In addition to her Architectural qualifications, Ruth also has a Diploma in Sustainability & Adaptation from the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT). Ruth also sits on the HTA Sustainability Board.
Since joining HTA, Ruth has predominantly led urban and infill affordable housing schemes. These have included both new build and refurbishment, from early feasibility and public consultations through to delivery on site.
Ruth is Project Architect for the Lakes Estate, an estate regeneration scheme in Milton Keynes. She is leading the project through the post-planning, technical design and delivery stages.
Prior to joining HTA, Ruth spent several years working for NGOs coordinating transitional and permanent construction projects in the Philippines, Thai – Myanmar border and Nepal, including forming partnerships with local NGOs to provide on-going support for local communities.
