Shawn Adams
Outreach Lead

Shawn joined HTA in 2020 as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant. He began his current role as HTA’s Outreach Lead in 2023, after qualifying as an architect in 2022.

As Outreach Lead, Shawn is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering a programme of social value outreach initiatives and activities with particular attention to those from under-represented backgrounds.

Working in collaboration with HTA’s HR, Marketing, Events and Communication Design team as well as our Social Value and ED&I groups, Shawn coordinates school programmes, community engagement workshops, public-realm art pieces, and manages relationships with educational institutions.

Shawn has worked on several masterplanning and regeneration projects across London including the Winstanley and York Road Estate redevelopment and Gascoigne East. He has also written for publications which include the RIBAJ, Architects’ Journal and the Financial Times. Currently, he teaches BA Architecture at Central St Martins, UAL, and the Architectural Association.
