Senior Associate

Maribel has a wide-ranging experience in the housing sector and benefits from an overview that is a key asset especially at formative project stages. She has a strong understanding of the development potential and planning possibilities for new sites as well as having valuable commercial awareness and solid construction experience including MMC. She frequently takes on the Lead Consultant role on complex projects, managing the entire consultant team on behalf of the client.

Maribel works collaboratively with clients and within the office. She has taken a key role in the management of the quality standards of the practice with particular emphasis on resourcing, training and recruitment. She led for the first BIM project at CZWG and is a strong supporter of its implementation throughout the industry.

At HTA, Maribel has worked on the planning stages of Phase One of Meridian Water, Enfield's' council £6 billion development, the first phase of which will result in approx. 1000 new homes.

She is currently working on two developments for Be First in Barking and Dagenham. Padnall Lake comprises 88 homes in an under used site and is currently at construction stage and Gascoigne East Phase 3b, 334 new homes currently at planning stage. In both of these projects Maribel has worked with Be First to help them achieve their MMC and PMV aspirations in ways best suited to the project’s specific needs, type, scale and sites.

Whilst at CZWG, Maribel recently delivered the successful Lyon Square, a new 310 unit residential/mixed use scheme for Redrow Homes in Harrow and First Way Wembley, a new university campus and 678 room modular MMC student accommodation scheme.

During her 14 years at CZWG Maribel lead numerous prestigious projects, including: Hale Wharf, a study for a 400 unit residential development in Tottenham; Spinningfields, an office and retail development for Allied London in Manchester; the Bournemouth Pavilion and Gardens for Trevor Osborne; St Edmund’s Terrace, a fast track high-end residential scheme in Primrose Hill; the interior fit-out designs for the penthouses of the award-winning ‘Alfred Court’ residential scheme on Fortune Green Road, West Hampstead; and Poplar Baths, a residential affordable housing scheme in Tower Hamlets.

Maribel’s architectural interests include modular construction and sustainable architecture with an aim to have quality, beauty and ‘joy’ as the basis of that which we build.
