Dip Arch MSc ARB MCIBSE CEEQUAL BREEAM
Christina joined HTA's Sustainable Futures' team in October 2013 as a Sustainability Consultant. She is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of CIBSE as well as a fully qualified Architect. She holds a MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering from UCL and specialises in high performance sustainable design and energy assessments. Whilst at HTA Christina qualified as a BREEAM New Construction assessor, as an OCDEA assessor, as well as a CEEQUAL assessor.
Christina completed her Diploma in Architecture at the NTUA in Athens, during which time she spent a year at the Universidade Tecnica in Lisbon. After graduating she started work as an Architect in Athens on private residential projects in rural areas of Greece. The impact that low energy design could have on the environment and the people intrigued her and led her to undertake the MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering.
After completing her MSc, Christina joined The Facility Consultants and specialised in sustainability. She worked mostly with Local Authorities to create low carbon zone areas in UK and promote innovation in the built environment.
Since joining HTA, Christina has been responsible for the sustainable design and energy assessments of large residential developments. She has worked as a lead sustainability consultant on schemes such as the Sheerwater Regeneration masterplan as well as the New Avenue and Stonebridge projects where she undertook the sustainability planning statements and domestic energy strategies, the Environmental Impact Assessment and the BREEAM communities as well as the overheating and daylight studies. She has also been involved in the design of the M&E services in BIM for the Ealing Garage Sites project.
Currently Christina works on a BREEAM assessment for the community centre of Dee Park regeneration scheme. She is also involved in research and development of prefabricated structures associated with offsite construction.
