Galini joined HTA in September 2013 and is based in the Edinburgh office where she takes a key role in design development and quality management. She is working on various projects across Edinburgh and London and she is helping the teams to deliver exceptional design quality schemes.
She also manages the visualisations at the Edinburgh office which is one of the key tools to communicate design ideas, she also actively takes part in the weekly design reviews.
Galini has worked on HTA’s bespoke designs for the private rented sector. She has been behind the designs for Blocks Five and Six at Greenford Green (for Greystar), Kirkstall Forge (for CEG) and Oxlo (for Neighbour). These new build developments, of different scales, have allowed Galini to gain experience of the specialist requirements of private rented sector design.
Galini graduated from her 3 year Architecture degree course at The Manchester School of Architecture and did a year placement in Cyprus where she worked at J+A Philippou Architects.
She studied at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture for 2 years, graduating with a Masters of Architecture with Distinction.
Through her Master's degree, she was given the chance to visit Japan and work with the university students there in order to complete a competition project. The progress she managed whilst there received very positive reviews and consequently Galini was awarded the first prize. This opportunity provided her with a great insight into the Japanese culture, which has significantly influenced her way of thinking and processing information in Architecture Design.
Galini has led the design on:
Greenford Green Blocks 5 & 6
Burgess Park Cmberwell Union
Winstanley & York Road Estrate Regeneration Project Phase 1, Blocks 1 & 5
Galini is now leading the design of Block 1A and Block 5A Residential Towers and she is behind the overall masterplan design code of Winstanley & York Road Estrate Regeneration Project in the London Borough of Wandsworth. She is also leading the design development of Burgess Park Camberwell Union which is a collaboration project between London and Edinburgh office.
