Joel started his career at HTA in early 2014 as an assistant technologist after a two week work experience period. Prior to this Joel graduated from university with a BA (hons) degree in Architectural Technology.
Joel's first project was Queen Elizabeth's Children's Hospital for the Rydon group where he assisted in the delivery of detailed design stage. After Queen Elizabeth's Children Hospital, Joel worked as a key member of the team responsible for delivering two blocks in high end luxury residential development Chelsea Creek for the developer St George, one of which is a 24 story tower. The outstanding work in delivering the highest quality of detail design in the two previous blocks lead to HTA winning the detail design stage for a further block within the Chelsea Creek development which is now nearing completion.
Joel then became part of HTA’s cutting edge modular team taking his experience with high end residential and applying it to the modular system and way of construction, helping to deliver 257 student homes on Holloway Road in one of the shortest programmes ever taken on my the practice. To follow on from this Joel is currently working with modular developer Tide on Greenford Green, a residential building in Greenford which when completed will have delivered 379 homes
Due to his experience, Joel has developed an expertise in delivery of highly complicated and detailed design in all packages and documents related to working drawings.
Since starting HTA Joel has achieved Charted status with the Charted Institute if Architectural Technologists (CIAT), the highest grade achievable within this charted body. Joel is also a member of the membership committee at the CIAT and is currently holding training sessions, workshops and meetings to help other architectural technologists progress their membership and increase their profile within HTA.
