Michael joined HTA in 2016 as a Part II Architectural Assistant. He studied at Oxford Brookes University, where he gained his Diploma in Architecture specialising in International Architectural Regeneration and Development.
Prior to joining HTA Michael worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as project architect where he designed and delivered bungalows for various private clients. Whilst in Malaysia, he also worked with AECOM on Malaysia’s biggest regenerative scheme – the River of Life, which aims to revive an 11km stretch of the Sungai Klang River passing through the capital’s city centre.
Since joining HTA, Michael has mostly been involved on the Croydon Small Sites Programme. This project is comprised of around 50 sites throughout the borough of Croydon, with HTA delivering packages for six of them.
Michael has been part of the core team since the early stages, delivering designs that aim to rejuvenate underutilised land, make contributions to the immediate surroundings and optimise development. Currently, two of the sites are in mid construction, with a third one mobilising. The rest of the schemes are in the process of having the construction drawings prepared, which are being delivered using BIM, improving coordination and overall design excellence.
The team Michael is working with are proud to have won a Housing Design Award for their Ravensdale Gardens & Rushden Close scheme.
