Michael joined HTA in 2016 as a Part II Architectural Assistant. He studied at Oxford Brookes University, where he gained his Diploma in Architecture specialising in International Architectural Regeneration and Development.
Prior to joining HTA Michael worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as project architect where he designed and delivered bungalows for various private clients. Whilst in Malaysia, he also worked with AECOM on Malaysia’s biggest regenerative scheme – the River of Life, which aims to revive an 11km stretch of the Sungai Klang River passing through the capital’s city centre.
Michael was heavily involved on the Croydon Small Sites project, which is currently in tender stage.
The scheme is part of Croydon Borough Council’s vision of providing over 1000 new homes by 2018. It consists of six different infill sites in various locations around the Borough that will be designed and developed to rejuvenate underutilised sites, make contributions to their immediate surroundings and optimise development.
Currently, Michael is working on the Camberwell Creative Quarter as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant developing designs, preparing reports and drawing packages. This is an exciting scheme that provides commercial space aimed for creative businesses and individuals, with a rich mix of home types that aims to create a vibrant development in an up and coming area.
