Sylvia Cartmill

Sylvia is a Chartered Landscape Architect with experience in both the UK and abroad.  Sylvia joined HTA in 2015 and has been a dedicated team member of the South Quay Plaza project for Berkeley Homes, Canada Water Phase 1, Greenford PRS, amongst others.

Before joining HTA, Sylvia worked at Vogt Landscape Architects (London), RMJM (Edinburgh) and Karres en Brands (Netherlands) on a great variety of projects including a hotel and horse training track in Doha, commercial development in Tel Aviv, residential projects in Amsterdam and a number of London regeneration projects.  Sylvia studied at the Art College in Edinburgh, graduating with a masters in 2011.     

At South Quay Plaza on the Isle of Dogs Sylvia has been an integral team member in the design development and tender packages for a high quality public realm, consisting of a series of gardens, at the foot of what will be some of Europe’s highest residential towers.  Sylvia has also worked on the planning applications for the Canalside at Greenford, an extensive PRS scheme and the regeneration of Filwood Park in Bristol.                 

Sylvia is responsible for the detail design and delivery of a large podium courtyard and associated public realm for Canada Water Phase 1, appointed directly to the contractors.  She is also currently working on a planning application for a new Creative Quarter in Camberwell
