Sylvia Cartmill

Sylvia is a Chartered Landscape Architect with experience in both the UK and abroad. Sylvia joined HTA in 2015 and has worked on several notable projects including Canada Water for Sellar/ Nottinghill and South Quay Plaza for Berkeley Homes.

Before joining HTA Sylvia worked at Vogt Landscape Architects (London), RMJM (Edinburgh) and Karres en Brands (Netherlands) on a diverse portfolio of projects including a hotel and horse training track in Doha, commercial development in Tel Aviv, residential projects in Amsterdam and a number of London regeneration projects. Sylvia studied at the Art College in Edinburgh, graduating with a masters in 2011.

At South Quay Plaza on the Isle of Dogs Sylvia has been an integral team member in the design development and tender packages for high quality public realm consisting of a series of gardens at the foot of what will be some of Europe’s tallest residential towers. Sylvia has also delivered several planning applications including the regeneration of Filwood Park in Bristol, the Creative Quarter at Camberwell, and Greenford PRS.

Currently Sylvia is responsible for the technical design and delivery of a 3000m2 podium courtyard and associated public realm for Canada Water Phase 1, appointed directly to the contractors (Ardmore). The project is currently under construction.
