HTA and Hawkins\Brown appointed as design team for Meridian Water

HTA have been chosen with Hawkins/Brown as the design team on behalf of Galliford Try for the first homes on Enfield Council’s development of Meridian Water, North London.

We have collaborated with Hawkins/Brown on the architectural design, taking individual buildings within the masterplan. HTA Landscape team designed the public realm for the whole scheme with 75% of the site will consist of parks, opens space, play space, tree nurseries and tree-lined streets.

Colin Ainger said: ‘This was a genuinely collaborative effort and we are over the moon with the result. The opportunity to work with Galliford Try in shaping the first phase of Meridian Water is a significant milestone for the practice.’

This first phase of 725 includes a high proportion of affordable homes alongside new public squares, shops and leisure facilities and will be located around the new Meridian Water train station. The first new homes are expected to be available in 2022.
