HTA is shortlisted for AJ100 Employer of the Year

At HTA, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and healthy professional environment that nurtures talent, builds careers and fosters creativity, enjoyment and satisfaction in our shared endeavour. We work hard to be the best employer possible therefore it’s fantastic to, once again, receive recognition on such a prestigious stage.

Creating a great place to work is central to HTA’s business strategy and has become a fundamental reason for our ongoing success.

Quality: Our annual Staff Opinion Survey confirms that project quality is the lead motivator for staff and each year increased scrutiny of the opportunities we pursue ensures our projects reflect the interests and passions of our people.

Life/Work: We’ve reduced overtime hours from 2% to below 1.5%, as a proportion of overall hours. People are free to work flexibly between 4 studios and home, including working overseas.

Workplace: 2022 saw us complete the move to a new permanent home for our London studio, with the radical refurbishment of an existing warehouse in Hackney Wick. The result is a beautiful space designed to perfectly meet the needs of the practice, and the passions of our people. Our chefs prepare fantastic breakfasts and lunches for our staff to share at the Lunchtables: a place for food, socialising and events.

Culture: Plentiful showers, complementary towels and clothes driers, have increased cycling, and the HTA Harriers now run 3 lunchtime per week.

EDI: Our strategy publishes realistic targets with the core objective that our staff reflect the communities we serve, with particular focus on gender, race, sexuality, disability and social mobility, each with a focus group led by an Associate and Partner.

Wellbeing: Our People and Inclusion team, led by HTA’s Partners, provide personal guidance and advice to help all our people to navigate the modern world and workplace.
