HTA Design LLP have designed a group of buildings which will sit at the heart of the emerging Wood Wharf Masterplan. Wood Wharf’s new Central zone is its primary destination and has been developed along a ‘lanes’ concept, providing tight, car free streets lined with boutique shops, pocket parks and eateries.
HTA-designed Plots G1 and G5 form a large part of this zone, composed of two major buildings and three pavilions which reflect the area’s naval past. The design mirrors the once-lost warehouse architecture which sat on the site; reinstating an important part of the Wharf’s heritage and character.
The buildings will provide a vibrant mix of retail, restaurants and 297 fully serviced apartments. These elements are brought together through a unique collaboration between Canary Wharf Group, Edyn and Vertus. HTA have provided architecture and landscape services.
